What Drinks Can You Get at Fire and Ice?

drinks

Finding good drinks can be hard, and making them is even harder. If you’re looking for a place where you can come, sit, and have a nice, cool, refreshing drink that you can’t get at home, come to Fire and Ice.

We have a large selection of drinks, enough that we made two different menus! Our wine and beer menu has over two dozen of both types of drinks. We have classic draft beer brands and popular wine bottles to choose from. Our cocktail menu has a few signatures you can order if you don’t have a specific drink on your mind.

Everyone has their preference on what they want to drink to enjoy their pre-game weekend, and so do we! Let’s talk about our favorites in each category, from beers and wines to cocktails. See if yours made the list and if not see what you must try!

Beer

This list of beers can be broken down into several categories. We have untapped, best-selling beers & the most valuable beers.

Among our draft beers, we have classic brands like Miller Lite, Sam Adams, and Goose Island. They’re staples that any restaurant worth its stuff will have. But, we serve some lesser known drafts that are becoming favorites among many. Drafts like:

  • SBC: This local brewery specializes in ales, and Orange is the New Ale is one of their most popular.
  • Tröegs: Tröegs’s pale ale is one of the tastiest beers you can order, with Field Study’s combination of ripe grapefruit and pear, with a hint of melon.
  • Stella Artois: This brand of Belgian draft beers has been around for 600 years and anyone tries their Belgium Pilsner will realize why.

Heineken on our beer list. People often think Heineken is a German beer, but it is not, it's a Dutch beer. It was founded in 1864 by Gerard Adriaan Heineken. It's worldwide and available in 70 countries. What makes this drink so popular is the A-yeast, it gives the beer a rich tasting flavor.

Corona and Guinness are also popular beers on everyone's list of favorites. Corona is a Mexican beer first brewed in 1925. Since 1925, Corona has been sold in 150 countries, with the largest shares coming from the United States. Guinness was first brewed in 1759. It is made with different natural ingredients such as hops, and yeast and is barley-malted and roasted. This beer is brewed in about 50 countries worldwide. The greatest known fact about this beer is that about 10 million glasses of Guinness are enjoyed every day all over the world.

Lastly, let's talk about Budweiser and Miller Lite. The name Budweiser comes from Budweis, which is a famous beer from the historic Czech town. The secret ingredient in the beer is rice. That is something you would have never thought to be in beer that you love and enjoy. Miller lite was originally named Gablinger's diet beer. The way they excelled so well is because of advertising. The company advertised so well with commercials and professional athletes. This drink is almost identical to Guinness beer in alcohol and calorie-wise. So, if you love Guinness give Miller Lite a try.

Wine

Wine is seen as more of a classy drink, yet somehow also more casual. Most people drink a glass with their dinner, while reading a book, or during a calm night out. Do not let the classiness of the drink steer you the wrong way, you can still have a good time with wine wherever you go. Wines you can get at Fire & Ice include:

  • La Marca Prosecco “split”
  • Helix Cava Brut
  • Cielo Prosecco Rose
  • Morande Rose Pinot Noir
  • Be Bike Rose Garnacha
  • Raywood Moscato
  • Sean Minor Pinot Noir
  • Juggernaut Pinot Noir
  • Los Senores Native Blend

There are 3 main categories of wine: red, white, and rose. On top of those flavors, you have the terms dry and sweet wine. They have different tastes behind them. Some people prefer dry wine, others prefer sweet.

The difference between dry and sweet wine is that wine is considered dry when all the grape sugar is converted into alcohol during fermentation as opposed to when you are making sweet wine and you still have some residual sugar. The sweet taste isn't some sort of candy-like sweet, it is much more flavourful than dry. With dry wine, it is a lot stronger than sweet. Some of the famous dry wines are Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Popular sweet wines are Moscato, Riesling, Port Wine, White Zinfandel, and Ice Wine.

Cocktails

This is everyone's favorite for the weekend nightlife. Our cocktail list has all the fruity drinks that you enjoy. It allows you to enjoy your time and taste the flavor. They are so unique because they are handmade and not straight alcohol. There are always different flavor cocktails being invented. When making a cocktail, the base is normally strong alcohol such as vodka, gin, tequila, rum, or vermouth. Then, you will use your favorite beverage, while adding fruit and herbs for extra flavor and a garnish.

Just like wine and beer, there are different types of cocktails. You have Daiquiris, Martini, Sidecar, Whiskey Highball, Old Fashion, and Flip. What makes them different is the flavor, taste, and look. Each detail is what makes your cocktail unique.

At Fire and Ice, we have a few popular cocktails that we’re always ready to make.

  • The Marilyn
  • Harvest Moon
  • November Rain
  • Blackberry Beret
